Madu Jaya Enterprise Sdn Bhd (MJE) was incorporated on 4th February 1984 to principally undertake construction and development activities. The company was dormant until it was purchased by Mr. Ang Lee Kaw and Ms. Ng Suat Leh on December 1987 to carry out the manufacturing of road bituminous materials.
The company initially purchased and installed a Swedish made Vianova batch mix premix plant, capable of producing 60 tons of premix per hour at Jelutong, Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Taiping. Due to its low productivity and non-efficiency, we discarded the Vianova plant after 2 ½ years. At the same time due to space constraint for expansion we moved to a location at Sungai Tinggi, District of Larut & Matang and installed a new P.P.P. 80-120 tons per hour drum mix.
The location at Sungai Tinggi was chosen because it had granite hill to cater for our premix raw material and located only 3km from the main road. As such Madu Jaya Quarry Sdn. Bhd. (MJQ) was incorporated in November 1990 to carry out the quarry operation. MJQ produces aggregate of various sizes and of superior quality, which meets local and international requirements.
